General

Artists draw inspiration from everywhere, the world around us, those that came before us and the people we surround ourselves with. But contrary to most professions where collaboration is the key to a successful career, artists often start off alone. It is even drilled into us that only a select few can make it and this career is a big risk to take. In many disciplines it’s understood that learning from each others from people’s expertise is the best way to develop skills. While an artistic education provides this environment afterwards there is not much opportunity to continue learning this way as a budding professional.

We are looking for artists that don’t have a voice or platform. We want to give an opportunity to those that need it the most and want to fight back against this idea that you need to do it alone.

Putting collaboration in the foreground we want to show the strength of people that lift those around them up.

The creative/collaborative process will be documented and showcased at the exhibition. Showing the triumphs and pitfalls, harmony and clashes that make up human connection in day to day life. Navigating this process is an essential part of human existence that remains infinitely fascinating to people of all walks of life.
